SPRING WORKSHOP – Moving Toward Steadiness. Saturday March 9th 1pm – 4pm

Moving Toward Steadiness
In Chinese Medicine the wood element relates to Spring – a time of year associated with new growth and potential. This workshop will explore ways to align with the wood element and the invigorating energy of Spring.
Includes active movement practices from both Yoga and Qigong which help cultivate a sense of steadiness and work with the idea that when we feel centred and rooted in our physical bodies we have more resources to meet the unpredictability of life with skill and patience. Also a guided relaxation and a talk on Chinese Five Element Theory.
Tickets from https://www.sport.reading.ac.uk/ Cost £20 members £25 non-members Limited spaces available – must be booked in advance.

Thursday night Yoga restarts at St Nicolas tonight

Thursday night classes resume this evening (August 23rd) in the newly refurbished community centre at St Nicolas in Earley. We will be focusing on balance –  physically balancing as well as exploring balance in the body. Also working around the association between Late Summer (the 5th season in the Chinese calendar) and the Earth element; which in turn associates with steadiness, balance, and our ability to hold centre within the free flow of experience.
